| Boston’s famous landmarks reflect the important part the city played in the history of the United States. This wonderful city will come alive, as you explore the most visited sites along the Freedom Trail, including a walk by the Old North Church ( group rate admission payable at door). You will continue your Boston tour with visits to the Back Bay, Public Gardens, Old Ironsides, and much more. Some sights you will see along the Freedom Trail are: The Boston Common, State House, King’s Chapel, Granary Burial Ground, Old South Meetinghouse, Boston Massacre site, Old State House, and Faneuil Hall. The Freedom Trail tour can be either a walking tour or a combination motorcoach and walking tour. As motorcoaches are not allowed in the North End of Boston, a visit to the Old North Church and Paul Revere House must include a short walk.Explore Cambridge, Boston’s sister city across the Charles River. Cambridge is a preeminent center of learning, and you will see Harvard’s historic “Yard”. You will also see MIT and pass the home of Longfellow, as you drive along Brattle Street, known during the Revolution as “Tory Row” for the mansions belonging to the Loyalists. |
